day eighty seven
Wholehearted Mess, Bear in Heaven.
I got my travel injections for India and Nepal today. Ow. On the plus side, this song came on my iPod randomly and I realised how much I loved it.

day eighty six
Lady Grinning Soul, David Bowie.
I finally watched The Runaways tonight, and it was just amazing. Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart blew me away (bet you never thought I’d say that!). One of the plusses of it being a music biopic set in the 70s was that it had a killer soundtrack. This was a song I hadn’t heard before, and has inspired me to do a bit more musical research into the musical genius that is David Bowie.

day eighty five
Flagpole Sitta, Harvey Danger
I rediscovered this song and now I cannot stop listening to it! So much excellent angst and “bah bah bah bah”s. When I listen to songs like this, I start to feel that the 90s, which is generally acknowledged as a bad bad music decade, weren’t actually that bad. It’s just all the boy bands and Celine Dion that have given it a bad rep. When you think about it, the 90s gave us Radiohead, Nirvana, The Hives, Modest Mouse, The Prodigy, Oasis, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur and Jeff Buckley. Which is not too bad. Not too bad at all…

Rhymnocerous vs Hiphopopotumus, Flight of the Conchords.
Just brilliant really. Do I need to say anything else?

day eighty three
Love of the Loveless, Eels.
I spent all day watching Arrested Development, The O.C, and making Christmas decorations. If was a song, it would sound a bit like this…
