out at the pictures

Here is another Splendour in the Grass tribute.

The wonderful Hot Chip.

Bizarro, indie, electronic perfectness.

They are nerds of the techno field…if you didn’t pick that up from the picture.

I am so excited to see them at Splendour (one of my top priorities) because although they played at Big Day Out a couple of years ago, I still only managed to see about five minutes of them because the BDO timetabler decided it would be a good idea to schedule Arctic Monkeys and Hot Chip at the same time. Marita, Kyla, Emily and I ran hand in hand, weaving through the masses of people to get from one stage to the other. And we still only heard half of Ready for the Floor and a cover of Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares 2 U. Too sad.

Anyway. Every album they’ve done so far has been brilliant, The Warning, Made in the Dark and One Life Stand.

Have a quick look at their clip for one of their early songs, Over and Over. It is my current obsession.

So clever.
