I love my sister. I really LOVE my sister. She has about A MILLION nicknames. Princess, Baby, Cheeky, Silly Pants, Gorgeous, Grace Face, Monkey Butt, Monkey and occasionally Monk, when I forget to add on the ‘ey’ of Monkey.
If you’ve met her, you’ll know that she is generally a very happy child. She loves the water, slapstick, tomato sauce, The Wiggles and dancing.
The other day Mum put on one of Grace’s CD’s called Ralph’s World. It is a truly a genius CD that features songs like, ‘M-O-M-M-Y needs C-O-F-F-E-E’ and ‘Incy Wincy Spider’ which ends with Ralph explaining to 3 year olds that it is about Existentialism.
It was on quite loud because Mum was cleaning Grace’s room and she wanted to hear it from there.
All of a sudden, Grace ran out of nowhere into the lounge room and began dancing with herself. She was jumping and spinning and clapping and laughing, unaware that I was watching her. She was so full of joy. It was so beautiful to watch. I suddenly became aware of how God saw her. I felt the delight that He must of felt when He witnessed his daughter dancing.
“The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17
